1) Why is "normal layer exposure time" the most important parameter to calibrate?
Exposure time is the most important factor in print quality. Too much exposure time will "overcook" the resin and make your print blurry. Too little exposure time will not make a layer of resin "stick" to the previous layer, making your print partially or totally fail. Therefore, we need to find the perfect balance between over-exposure and under-exposure.
2) When should I do an exposure time test?
We advise you to do an exposure test each time you change your printer or resin, and when there is a big change in weather in your region.
3) How should I do an exposure test?
We recommend the cone exposure test to find the optimal normal layer exposure time for your printer / resin.
Step 1) Download and print the cone exposure stl file using your usual printer settings (no need to add support)
Step 2) Observe both sides of the print
The calibration print has 2 sides, the "Success" side and the "Failure" side
Step 3) When you find the optimal normal layer exposure time, you can input the number in the "Printing File Export Request Form"
If you have any questions the calibration test, you can send us an e-mail at contact.printreplica@gmail.com
